As I’ve been struggling to regain my Reading Jam for a couple of years now, I’m keeping it both simple and easily achievable this year—at this current moment, I’d rather feel good about going above and beyond than feel like I’m always playing catch-up.

So, my Reading Resolutions for 2020 are:

  • Read 26 books published in 2020

  • Read and watch 26 book/movie combos—they don’t necessarily have to be adaptations of books, there just needs to be some sort of connection. For instance, MAYBE I’ll read The Bad Seed and watch the 1956 movie, but maybe I’ll switch it up and watch some other movie about a murderous child. OR maybe I’ll switch it up even MORE and read a DIFFERENT book about a murderous child and THEN watch The Bad Seed.

  • Read 366 short stories, one for every day of the year

And finally, I’ve missed writing just as much as I’ve missed reading, so I’m also going to try to:

  • Post about a book or a movie at least once a week

And that’s it! I feel like these are ENTIRELY attainable goals? I think?

Did you set goals for yourself this year?
