Um, yeah. Pretty much the scariest thing I've ever seen. Literally made my jaw drop and my eyeballs bug out. I got the very distinct impression that at least one of the people featured would be happy to bring the Crusades back.
Has anyone else ever noticed that when Patrick Stewart laughs, he looks like an anime character? It's adorable. And did you know that Kate Winslet is hysterically funny? Like, laugh-so-hard-you're-in-tears funny? I love the show -- we finally Netflixed it, and after watching the first disc I just broke down and bought the whole damn thing. I know I'll watch it repeatedly. Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant are brilliant.
Tapeworms? Gross! Yes, I'm the last person on earth to finally watch this show. I don't care if every episode is pretty much the same.* Because, WOW. Hugh Laurie is hotter than hot. I'd watch him watch paint dry. And I love his friendship with Robert Sean Leonard, who apparently hasn't aged in 20 years. Definitely looking forward to watching Season Two.
*Someone gets sick, they don't know what's wrong, the doctors prescribe the wrong medicine, the patient's kidneys fail/heart seizes or goes into a coma/is paralyzed, House and Foreman argue, Chase is a weasel, Cameron makes goo-goo eyes at House, House makes withering comments to all and saves the patient.
