Same Stuff as Stars banned.

From The Augusta Chronicle (see Bugmenot for login):

In a Tuesday meeting, the school board unanimously voted to ban the children's book by Katherine Paterson from elementary pupils, but still allow it in middle schools.

For the first time in Superintendent Tommy Price's recollection, he said, the board was asked to remove a novel from schools after a parent complaint about the graphic language and adult themes used in the book.

"There were some adult situations in the book, but I think the parent was mostly upset about the four-letter words in it," Mr. Price said.

Classic.  Forget the fact that we're talking about a well-written and well-reviewed book by an author who has won an almost ridiculous number of awards, a story about issues that kids can relate to, a story with characters you care about, etc., etc., etc...

Some four-letter-words negate it all.
