Freaking FINALLY.

From nwaonline.net:

FAYETTEVILLE -- They have no name or organized structure but a group of local residents are ready to speak out in support of keeping books in Fayetteville school libraries where students can check them out.

It would make me really, really happy if libraries across the country created Banned Books Week displays specifically about the Laurie Taylor situation

I find it interesting that the Fayetteville school district ALREADY has a procedure in place for parents to flag books that they don't want their kids to read.  As we've seen, that isn't enough for Laurie Taylor.

And at the high school, where many of the challenged books presumably reside:

"We've always done everything to accommodate parents," Barnett said. "All you have to do is come and ask." She added that during a recent open house at the high school "not one parent" came into the library.
