  • Hourly breakdown:

Pre-game: Half-dead rodent #1.

Saturday morning: I got off to a good start, only taking two breaks: The first to rescue the cats from the neighbor's very young and rambunctious dog (They were both fine, though Josh and our neighbor had to drag her dog out of our basement. I told Lemon that it was karma for this morning's mouse incident.), and the second to call Josh and tell him about Tanita's most recent salvo in their ongoing Mockery War.

Saturday afternoon and evening: My streak continued until Josh got home (His plans were cancelled, so he came home and has informed me that he's going to "help" me with the reading challenge. And yes, he did use air quotes.). I held steady and managed to foil his attempts to distract me with Vin Diesel and Rob Zombie movies.

The bathtub reading was a mistake, as it made me sleepy and I crashed much earlier than expected.

Sunday morning: Got up early and read another book while trying to decided if I'd bail or not. Ended up compromising by downloading an audiobook.

Sunday afternoon: Half-dead rodent #2. Listened to said audiobook while peeling shrimp and assembling homemade potstickers.

Sunday evening: Big long break for potstickers, 90210 (Due to an overnight at a convent, Donna finally Saw The Light and dumped Ray! Hooray!), and a few rounds of Magic: The Gathering (Leila 3, Josh 2). Read a bit before bed, but so little that it hardly counts.

Monday morning: Compiled my stats and wrote this!
