Wow. Books ARE dangerous.

An eighth grader had emergency surgery and a classmate is under arrest as the result of a bizarre classroom game in a Staten Island intermediate school.

Authorities say the game is called "Quiet," in which everyone sits silently at his or her desk, and the first one to speak gets pelted with textbooks.

The game was not so fun for 13-year-old Chaz Carvahlo, who had his spleen removed after he was hit in the side with a book.

Jebus.  All we did was throw fish eyes at each other after a fascinating dissection unit.
